Community and Issue Based Workhops

Communities today are complex areas that impact on the individual in many ways, both positively and negatively.

The key purpose of community development work is collectively to bring about social change and justice, in ways which challenge oppressions and tackle inequalities. This is best done by working with communities to:

  • identify their needs, opportunities, rights and responsibilities
  • plan, organise and take action
  • evaluate the effectiveness and impact of the action

Community development starts from the premise that within any community there is a wealth of knowledge and experience which, if used in creative ways, results in high levels of participation and can be channeled into collective action to achieve the community’s’ desired goals.

Executive Solutions work alongside people in communities, build relationships with key people and organisations to facilitate the identification of common concerns, and help build autonomous groups. We create workshops of informal learning, which will help to increase the capacity of communities.

By enabling people to act together, Executive Solutions help to foster social inclusion and equality.

Education and training needs are based on core values and processes characterised by autonomy of individuals and groups, change and development, justice and equality, collective action and skills of participatory learning.

The following workshops can be hard-hitting and high impact for those at risk, or less so as part of an information session, depending on the audience. The aim of the workshops are to challenge opinions and be open and honest about consequences and choices. They can be used as a tool for prevention.

  • 2 Young 2 Die Driving
  • Clean Your Life
  • Healthy Lifestyles
  • Understanding Aggression
  • Domestic Violence Male and Female
  • ASBOs and Gangs
  • Values
  • Confidence Issues
  • Restorative Practice
  • Mad, Bad and Misunderstood

What our clients say...

I have worked with Executive Solutions in a role where I am volunteering with the rehabilitation programmes of offenders between the ages of 18-25 years of age. Executive Solutions have acted as a mentor offering advice, guidance and support whilst assisting and teaching rehabilitation programmes to offenders.
